So we thought it was time that we did a top 5 on burgers! What makes a good burger for us, well it has to have a fresh roll, lots of good quality meat and a few toppings! This list is a living list and will change as we discover new places and try new burgers. If there is anywhere you think deserves our attention, leave us a wee comment at the bottom 🙂
Rascals
Rascals was the first burger place we reviewed and it still remains a favourite. Their huge portions and juicy burgers left us feeling very full but plotting our next return. Unfortunately we’ve not made it back yet but hopefully we’ll change that very soon! There is a huge selection of burgers to choose from and they even cater for those requiring a gluten free option. Malmaison
We’ve included Malmaison in our top 5 just because we enjoyed this burger! It was delicious, meat well cooked, bacon crispy and just the right amount of cheese. The presentation also ticked a box for me. To read our full review click HERE.
Rosehip
We absolutely love The Rosehip. This is the third time we’ve had a burger here and it didn’t disappoint. We’ve tried their bacon, cheese burger, the original burger and this time we tried the Rosehip burger which was a feast! It had onion rings, crispy bacon, cheddar, haggis, and onion chutney all on top of a beef burger pate. They describe it as a monster and they aren’t far wrong. It defeated me and Mr E didn’t have room to finish mine off, which is a rare occurrence. To read our full review click HERE.
Burger Meats Bun
BMB had been on our radar for a while after seeing all the fab pictures on twitter from folk who had visited their Glasgow branch. When we heard they were opening in Edinburgh we couldn’t wait. Their burgers are a proper meat feast! Lots of meat, dripping with juices and unusual combos just to keep you coming back for more. Definitely somewhere we won’t get tired of visiting. BURGER.
A late comer to our list is BURGER. We headed down here for lunch after a long weekend celebrating and it hit the spot. It’s quick, no nonsense food but still retains the taste you expect. Their specials are also tasty and with the option to make your burger into a double or triple is very appealing! To read our full review click HERE.
Like we said, this is a living list and will change. Be sure to let us know if there is anywhere you think worthy of being included on our list.
