So what will we be up to this month, apart from being showered with chocolates and flowers (we’ll see 🙂 ?
Well there’s lots happening. The most exciting thing is a visit from my wee sister and her husband. We’ll be spending our Valentine’s night with them after picking them up at the airport and collecting a chippy on our way home. This will be the first year me and the other half haven’t ventured out for a wee romantic evening but instead we’re planning on doing it another time. Even although we’re not eating out on Valentine’s night, there are still lots of lovely places and menus to choose from if you’re stuck for ideas. Below is a round up of what we like;
1. Mithas
If you’ve still not been to Mithas, then you need to get yourself along. They’ve designed a fantastic taster menu for 2 which can be accompanied by wines they have carefully selected.
2. Al Dente
We ate last year at Al Dente on Valentine’s night and the menu on offer this year sounds equally as delicious.
The menu on offer at One Square, offers new tastes and the price includes a bottle of prosecco. Â For ÂŁ89 per couple it seems like a pretty good bargain to us.
If you don’t fancy venturing out, but instead fancy an evening in. Â We can recommend La Favorita delivered or an Indian from the Guru or Ocean Spice.
When wee sis comes to town, we like to treat ourselves to afternoon tea.  This time we are heading to Peacock Alley in The Caledonian. I am super excited about this, as I’ve never been before and from what I’ve heard they offer a fantastic afternoon tea.  Along with this we’ll squeeze in a little bit of shopping.  The boys are off to watch Hibs play at home.  I hope for their sake Hibs can manage a win.
Other things we’re looking forward to this month include a trip to the cinema to see Dallas Buyers Club, a wee night or two out as dry January is now finished, maybe venture up Arthurs Seat and catching up with friends.
Phew February is going to be a busy month! Don’t know how I’m going to manage work, studying and all this?!?
