General Manager, Dale MacPhee said: “Hosted by our expert team of chefs, mixologists and sommeliers, this gastronomic tour will offer guests a dining extravaganza across The Caley Bar, The Pompadour by Galvin, Galvin Brasserie de Luxe and Peacock Alley.
”At the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh, we aim to provide a truly unforgettable experience for all of our guests. The ‘Moveable Food Fest’ is really exciting as it gives us the opportunity to showcase all that our restaurants, lounge and bar have to offer to local residents.”
The evening will kick off with a welcome cocktail at The Caley Bar, which is themed on the grandeur of the 19th century’s Caledonian Railway with plush furnishings akin to the Orient Express.
Moving upstairs to The Pompadour by Galvin, one of Scotland’s most striking dining rooms, guests will enjoy a wine-paired, fine-dining starter of Isle of Wight tomatoes, homemade basil ricotta, Minus 8 vinegar and ajo blanco carefully curated by Head Chef, Daniel Ashmore.
The evening will continue at the hotel’s casual bistro, Galvin Brasserie de Luxe, with a main course of Spring lamb loin and braised neck with petit pois à la française and a perfectly paired glass of wine, presented by Head Chef, Jamie Knox.
A delicious dessert of Blacketyside strawberry cheesecake, fresh mint sorbet and passionfruit syrup will be served in Peacock Alley to round off the evening. At the heart of the hotel, Peacock Alley is the old station concourse turned into a luxurious lounge with stunning red sandstone walls and a striking peacock light feature.
The dinner will be held on Wednesday 6th June at 6.30pm. Costing £40 + VAT per person, tickets for this exclusive event are limited and can be purchased here.
