Stylish self-catering retreat launches near Elgin – ideal for Edinburgh families, wedding guests, and group getaways
Edinburgh-based travellers seeking a luxurious countryside break now have a new Highland gem to explore. Viewfield Farmhouse, a beautifully renovated 5-bedroom property on the historic Innes Estate near Elgin, is now open for bookings from June 2025.

Just over three hours from Edinburgh, the estate offers a true change of pace — set across 5,000 acres of farmland, paddocks and woodland in the heart of Moray. The newly launched farmhouse blends historic character with contemporary comfort, featuring three en-suite bedrooms, a double-height kitchen with Aga, a cosy sitting room with wood-burning stove, and a spacious dining room perfect for entertaining. French doors open onto a private patio and lawn with sweeping views across the estate.
The interiors have been thoughtfully curated by Zoë Tennant, who worked closely with long-time estate seamstress Sandy to maintain the warm, lived-in feel that runs throughout the estate’s accommodation. “Wherever you stay on the estate, you get the same feeling of warmth and belonging,” said Zoë.

Viewfield Farmhouse joins The Gatehouse (sleeps 4) as part of the growing hospitality offering at Innes House, an exclusive-use 17th-century mansion that sleeps 38 and is popular for weddings and private celebrations. All properties can be booked individually or together for larger gatherings, making it an ideal destination for Edinburgh-based families, friend groups, or anyone planning a special occasion.
Guests can explore estate walks, nearby mountain trails, golf courses, and Moray’s iconic whisky distilleries — with easy access to Speyside and the North Coast 500.
Bookings for Viewfield Farmhouse are now open for June 2025 onwards.
