The Scottish Chefs Nespresso Professional Student Coffee Challenge is back for its third year, offering catering and hospitality students across Scotland a unique opportunity to showcase their creativity—and win big. This year’s winning team will be rewarded with an exclusive masterclass from MasterChef: The Professionals winner Derek Johnstone and renowned Chef David Lilley, along with a top-of-the-range Nespresso M100 coffee machine for their college.
The challenge, led by Scottish Chefs (Federation of Chefs Scotland) and supported by Nespresso Professional, invites student teams of three to design an afternoon tea menu featuring savoury items and coffee-inspired pastries. Finalists will prepare and present their menus in a live cook-off at Edinburgh College, Milton Campus, where their creations will be judged by top industry names including Joe Queen, Kevin MacGillivray and Donna Dowson.
Donna Dowson, Head of Sales UK at Nespresso, said: “We’re thrilled to support this competition again and can’t wait to be inspired by the next generation of culinary talent.”
Interested teams must register by Friday 26th September by emailing Joe Queen at joeq@archerfieldhouse.com. The final will take place on Monday 27th October.
