This Christmas, thousands of children across Scotland face a heartbreaking reality – no hot meal, no gifts, and no place to call home. Oli Norman, the founder of itison, is determined to change this narrative by shining a spotlight on Scotland’s poverty crisis and rallying support through the company’s £5 Christmas Appeal in partnership with Social Bite.
For just £5, donors can provide a Christmas meal, a gift, or vital support to someone experiencing homelessness or vulnerability. The campaign has been a lifeline for countless individuals, offering warmth, sustenance, and a sense of community during the most challenging time of year.
A Legacy of Generosity: £3 Million Raised Over 10 Years
Now in its 10th year, the itison £5 Christmas Appeal has raised over £3 million, with 700,000 donations transforming Christmas for Scotland’s most vulnerable. Each year, Social Bite’s coffee shops become a beacon of hope, offering meals, gifts, and a welcoming space for those in need.
Despite these efforts, the demand for support has grown dramatically. Families, individuals, and even children face increasing challenges due to rising living costs and Scotland’s housing emergency.
