This guide will give you some easy tips to try and improve your lifestyle without making much effort at all.

Fill Half Your Plate with Vegetables

If possible, you have to make sure that you fill half your plate with non-starchy vegetables. This could involve you having a lot of spinach, dark leafy vegetables and even carrots. You might also want to try and add cauliflower as well as this will help you to really pack your plate out. If you follow this rule, then you may find that you can eat just as much without feeling as though you are adding a lot of calories.

Get some Help if you Truly Need It

Another way for you to try and be healthier would be for you to have a chat with your doctor. When you do, they can then advise you on the steps you can take to try and improve your health in general and they can also help you to make the right changes too. Use a Smaller Bowl

The size of your bowl really does impact how much you can eat. Studies have shown that those who eat from smaller bowls tend to eat around 50% less than those who eat from larger bowls. The illusion of eating from a smaller plate could well help you to feel much more satisfied and you can eat less food as a result. You won’t feel hungry either as your brain will be tricked into thinking that you are eating the same.

Swap out Refined Carbs

Refined carbs are otherwise known as empty carbs. They are stripped from their nutrients and any fibre too. This ultimately means that you are adding tons of extra calories to your diet, but you are not getting any nutritional value. If you eat a diet that is rich in a lot of refined carbs, then you may find that this can rocket your chance of developing a chronic disease too, and this is the last thing that you want.

Add some Fruit

Fruit is a fantastic way for you to add a bit of colour and even flavour to your oats. The great thing about fruit is that it is loaded with vitamins and minerals, and this is essential to your health. You may even find that it contains a lot of fibre and water too, and this all helps you to stay much fuller, for longer. The compounds in fruit act as an antioxidant in the body and this can fight inflammation. If you are struggling to add a lot of fruit to your diet, then you can have it in the form of a smoothie if you want. If you do this, then you will soon find that you can give your body a real boost. If you want to give yourself even more benefits, then it could be a good idea for you to try and incorporate flax seeds or even matcha extract. This will help you to get a huge boost of vitamins and this can work in your favour.

Eat Fatty Fish

Fatty fish, which can include salmon, is easily one of the most nutritious foods on this planet. Salmon is a brilliant source of Omega-3, and this is a type of essential fat that you can truly only get from fish like this. There aren’t many people who get enough of this kind of fat in their diet, so it is imperative that you do what you can to make sure that you are getting a good amount. If you cannot eat fatty fish often, then there are other ways that you can try and incorporate it. This could include trying to add some flaked salmon to a pasta salad for example.
