Food historian and popular TV and radio broadcaster Dr Annie Gray is set to host a special talk at the Palace of Holyroodhouse on Tuesday, 19 March, exploring Queen Victoria’s love of food.
Annie Gray is the resident food historian on BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Kitchen Cabinet’ and recently oversaw a recreation of the wedding feast of Victoria and Albert for BBC Two.
Inspired by Annie’s new book on Victoria’s love of eating, this culinary history talk will take place in the Throne Room of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, which was once her dining room. After the talk, visitors will be invited on a tour of the Palace to see the rooms where Queen Victoria took her meals, including where she and Prince Albert ate their breakfast together.
