Degustabox – January offering

February 19, 2017 by Clare Leave a Comment

January comes around all too quickly after Christmas and before you know it the televisions and magazines are awash with diet information and tips on being healthy. Thankfully when our degustabox arrived this month we are delighted to see it had lots of healthier versions of items we love.

This months box included lots of delicious goodies that we hadn’t tried before and also a few which were lower sugar versions of products we had tried before.

The tasty treats we had to try this month included

  • Fruit-tell – lower sugar
  • Aspire drinks
  • Natvia Sweetener
  • Quinoa
  • Chosan Drinks
  • Chia Shots
  • Protein Boost boost – strawberry flavour
  • Crabbies ginger beer
  • Yushio
  • Popchips

We couldn’t wait to tuck in and whilst cooking dinner on the day our box arrived we had sampled the fruit-tella, yushio snapea rice sticks and the aspire green tea extract drinks. This is always a good sign when things are eaten before I have a chance to put them away. The yushio snapea rice sticks were a revelation. I think I had seen then sitting on a shelf in the supermarket but it never occurred to me to buy them. Now there we were sitting tucking into them like we hadn’t seen food the whole day. They are very moreish and definitely something we will be buying again. The Aspire Tea drinks were also delicious, you can taste a hint of green tea but the flavour combinations make sure that they aren’t overpowered by the taste. Something which is hard to do but Aspire have managed to keep it subtle. My favourite flavour out of the cranberry and mango lemonade was the mango lemonade. It tastes like a healthy fizzy drink and is very refreshing.

Mr E even had a few favourites from this box. The crazy hot Popchips and Crabbie’s Scottish raspberry ginger beer didn’t last long.

This was a great box this month as it was full of lots of things we could eat on the go or take into work as part of our lunches. The added benefit of each item being slightly healthier was great and meant that our healthy January was kept on track. Sometimes the boxes can be mixed but with a box like this we can’t wait to see what the February box brings.
