Now it might seem a bit early for all things Christmas, but it’s never too early to be buying lovely pressies for your loved ones. This is where the Country Living Christmas Fair in Glasgow comes to the rescue. You’ll be able to pick up unique gifts to delight your loved ones, as well as inspired ideas and decorations to bring that magical Christmas sparkle to your home. Meet hundreds of artisan designers and makers along with regional food producers from across the British Isles, and see the pages of the magazine come to life in this festive extravaganza. Where and when?
This fantastic event takes place from 20-23 November (10am-5pm Thurs,Fri,Sat and 10am-4pm Sun) in the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) – Glasgow.
What will be there?
There will be different types of stalls and a large variety of workshops mainly based on Christmas decorations and food. With step-by step demonstrations of ceramic Christmas decorations and specialists in truffle puddings cooking, the fair offers plenty of opportunities to broad your interests and enlarge your views on the festive season.
There is also a Cookery Theatre where well known chefs such as Neil Forbes and Paul Wedgwood demonstrate tempting seasonal recipes, using delicious, fresh ingredients. Pick up their professional tips and even ask them for advice. From classic favourites to ideas that may surprise you, our Cookery Theatre sessions will help you serve the perfect Christmas.
Foodie exhibitors include Berry Good, The Big Cheese Making Kit, Cullisse Highland Rapeseed Oil, The Little Herb Farm and Strathearn Distillery to name but a few. A full list of exhibitors can be found here. There will also be exclusive offers available to those visiting the fair.
This year, among the companies that will offer a live demonstration there is CoolCrafting, who will share lots of handy tips and essential techniques. At the same time, there will be flower exhibitions and interior design displays held by market experts to help you pick up tips to try at home.
Tickets
There are a range of tickets available including a VIP ticket for the day and tickets with a gift. Tickets range from £10 – £49.50, children £6.50 and children under 5 go free. There is a £1.50 booking fee per order, not per ticket. Further information can be found here.
